How reservation works
Guests open your public wishlist, choose an available item, and reserve it. Other visitors then see that item as taken, which reduces duplicate gifts.
Reservations can include an optional note to you. Surprise mode hides reservation details from the wishlist owner until you choose to reveal them.
For gift-givers
After reserving, guests use the safe store link to complete purchase on the retailer's site. Lista does not checkout on their behalf or store payment details.
Marking an item as purchased helps the owner track what has already arrived. Guests should only mark purchased after they have actually bought the gift.
For wishlist owners
You see aggregate counts — available, reserved, purchased — without guest PII on public views. In your manage view you can reorder items, hide products, and control list visibility.
You can release a reservation if plans change, returning the item to available for others.
Availability
Reservation and purchase tracking are rolling out across Lista. Some lists may show placeholders until the reservations service is fully connected in your region.
